About Me
I’m a senior communications and corporate affairs leader who helps organizations protect their reputation and communicate when the stakes are high.
I started as a national CBC journalist, reporting from seven provinces and winning an International Edward R. Murrow Award and a Canadian Screen Award. Since then, I’ve led communications teams through major reputational issues, crises, public affairs campaigns and executive counsel.
Most recently, I was Director of Corporate Communications at the Toronto Police Service, reporting to the Chief of Police. I led a 36-member team operating 24/7 that handled more than 20,000 media requests a year. I advised the Chief and senior leadership through major incidents and public controversies, and I built the service’s first enterprise misinformation and disinformation strategy, which I presented to police leaders across the US and Canada.
At Unifor, I ran the national communications function for 315,000 members in every sector of the economy and quadrupled earned media coverage. I led the Save Oshawa GM campaign, which won an IABC Gold Quill and MarCom Platinum. At ACTRA, I led lobbying and communications for the campaign that put AI protections into performer agreements, including consent and compensation for the use of a performer’s likeness.
Today my work centres on one question every organization faces: how do you build and protect trust when AI, misinformation and fragmented audiences are eroding confidence in institutions?
I recently completed Rotman’s executive program in Generative and Agentic AI for Business. Whether I’m advising an executive, leading a team or building a campaign, my approach is the same: understand the audience, get to the truth quickly, make the strategy clear and communicate in a way that earns trust.
